Dean Carr, MBA, CMPE, Administrator of Associated Anesthesiologists

“I’ve personally worked with SIG for something like ten years. Someone recommended them to us, we had them come out and do a few things, and within a short period of time, we let them take care of all the IT needs we had.

“SIG has made my job immensely easier. They’ve helped us find solutions to issues and problems, increase productivity, increase communications, and make things work.”

Finding cost-effective IT solutions

“When I was working for Emergency Care Incorporated, we had one urgent care center, built two more and needed to establish a network to swing medical records, EKGs, and charts back and forth. We needed to be able to view those at any location, so we needed multiple servers and a wide area network.

“When we first started out, we had to have a way to be able to review charts and medical records from one facility to the next, on a real-time basis.

“Up to that point, we were at a loss of how to do that without implementing what’s called an Electronic Medical Records (EMR). A real honest-to-goodness EMR is a very expensive big deal. We didn’t want to put the money into a true EMR, but we needed an intermediate solution: something doable, but a whole lot less expensive.

“SIG came up with a document imaging system that met our needs. They came up with a solution where we could scan the chart and put it into the document imaging system so a doctor at another facility could instantly read the chart.”

Quick-response IT services around the clock

“We are a 7-day-a-week operation, running from 7:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night. If something went down, and it was a patient’s medical record on the line, I had to have quick and ready turnaround. If a doctor goes in to see a patient and all of a sudden the medical record is unavailable because the computer is down or the server isn’t working, that’s a big deal.

“SIG was ready to be right there to take care of us, nights, weekends, or Sunday mornings. They’re just very reliable, with rapid response — to me that means so much. Customer service means so much, especially when you come in and have to run payroll that morning, and all of a sudden, the server won’t fire up, you can’t connect to the Internet, or any number of issues that are critical.

“I can call and have help from SIG, usually within an hour. That’s so good. Even if they’re on another job, they’ll stop long enough to remote in and sometimes they can fix it in just a few minutes. And if they can’t fix it remotely, they’ll get someone on site real quick.”

IT services for problems big and small

“If you have a number of servers, there’s always something going on. Sometimes the power supply needs replacing, or there’s always some employee that manages to download a virus. SIG is good about coming in and cleaning that stuff up.

“I’m with another group now, but we still use SIG. They’re good people, they’re intelligent, and they take good care of us. They’re just a fine group of folks; very knowledgeable, able to recommend solutions, and they can do it all from the big things to the little things.

“They’re wonderful people; I couldn’t say enough good about them. I like working with them, and highly recommend them.”

Ann Hartness – Chief Financial Officer – KAMO Power

Always there for you

“When I run into a bind, SIG is always there.

“We’ve had a good working relationship with them all these years, and I recommend them highly.

“SIG explains things in a professional but understandable way, not like some contractors who like to talk over your head.

“I’ve worked with our account rep for years. I’ve got her cell number, her business number; I can always get in touch with her.

With payroll, there’s not a lot of room for “Oops”

“Every time I have a payroll problem, I’m glad I have SIG. You can screw up anything in the world but payroll. They understand the urgency.

“We turn our payroll pretty fast, so there’s not a lot of room for ‘Oops.’

“Timesheets come in on Friday. We turn payroll around Monday. It goes to the bank on Tuesday, and checks go out Wednesday. I don’t want to tell boss he can’t have his check till Friday.

“I was in St. Louis once, and we had a payroll problem. We called SIG and got it fixed within the hour. We couldn’t ask for anyone to respond any quicker than they do.

How we got started

“We’ve been with SIG through years of upgrades, starting with general ledger, accounts payable, then moving into other modules through the years.

“They helped us move to Solomon back in 1996. Before that, we had an Oracle database that we couldn’t touch. We had to pay a systems analyst to come in at $100 an hour to change things we could’ve done on our own. I felt so locked down.

“We told SIG what we needed. They demoed the new software for us, walked us through the advantages, helped us set it up, and gave us the source code.

“SIG gave us the flexibility to modify the database on our own. So we don’t have to pay those other guys to come out and make every little change.

“Now we have a lot more flexibility compared to the software we had originally. We have the knowledge to go in, extract data, manipulate it, do everything we need to do.”

Allen Proo, Executive Director for Happy Hands Education Center shares his thoughts on SIG IT services.

IT Service with A Heart For the Community

“SIG has been a significant part of Happy Hands for 4 to 5 years. The IT services they provide are wonderful. You can tell they have a heart to give, and a heart for their community.

“IT is a strategic and a critical component for us. We can’t function without it. How do you communicate inside and outside of the organization without it?

“The people at SIG are our IT department. When we moved into our new building they were very helpful setting up our IP addresses, video conferencing, and everything IT for the organization. They’ve been wonderful.

Critical Technology Services

“Technology is such an important thing today. You can’t survive without it. You can’t operate any business without technology, especially when children are involved.

“The technology we have available allows us to serve other schools. We have teachers and administrators come from other states and observe how we do things. We can do that more often now via the technology, without them having to come here.

Strong IT relationships, smooth operations

“As far as my experience with other IT technicians, nobody is as smart as Alan. He’s very intelligent and good at what he does. We’re very blessed to have him.

“Our relationship with SIG has been wonderful. You can’t beat it because they keep the professional aspect in scope while also being a friend. Having that good relationship is critical to who we are.

“You can’t have a smooth operation if you don’t have a good relationship, especially with your IT people. Keith and Alan are good friends of ours.”

Built to help you more efficiently manage accounts and process requests, Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 empowers your employees, managers, customers, and vendors to increase their effectiveness by providing the tools they need to access and manage data. Here are 10 reasons that upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 can help your business.

New menu interface. Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 has a new menu interface similar to the familiar Microsoft Office system. Configurable, role-relevant menus and home pages, improved text editing, and step-by-step menus that can be customized reduce the time required to become productive.

Flexible reporting tools. Powerful reporting solutions include Business Information Optimization (BIO), a business intelligence solution built specifically for Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), an interface to call SSRS reports from within Microsoft Dynamics SL, can help you integrate, analyze, and present data from multiple sources to meet specific needs of your company.

Electronic document delivery. Set up your system to automatically deliver email or faxes by using Quick Send. Save time and money, and improve customer service by sending purchase orders and invoices to your customers and vendors by using email or fax.

Pay-subcontractor-when-paid. Link subcontractor and customer work so that payment to the subcontractor is not made until the work has been accepted by the customer and the associated customer invoice is paid.

Additional currency support. Project expenses can now be entered in many currencies, and handling of value-added tax (VAT) is also supported. The Scheduled Billings and Billing by Percent processes now allow for multi-currency processing.

Business Portal project access. Create, edit, or view project information from the Web by using the new Project Maintenance screen. The Business Portal project maintenance screen is a combination of information pulled from five separate screens to provide project users the information they need. Access to project data can be controlled to suit the needs of your projects.

Business Portal built on Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. You can access your enterprise resource planning (ERP) data, along with features such as document repository, calendars, blogs, wikis, and RSS feeds provided by Windows Sharepoint Services.

Maintain security and efficiency. New optional security features support Windows Authentication so that users can log on to their systems and to Microsoft Dynamics SL without the need to re-enter information. This also makes Microsoft Dynamics SL compliant with your corporate password policies.

Continued compatibility with current technologies. Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 provides support for the latest business tools and technologies. Included are support for the Windows Vista operating system, Microsoft SQL 2005, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, the 2007 Microsoft Office system, and Microsoft Project 2007.

Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 is a .NET product. Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 has been rewritten to run in Microsoft Visual Basic 2005, making it a .NET product. This allows more opportunity for customization and provides a strong base for developing future features and interfaces.
